Things you might or might not want to know about me, updated 2008-02-08:

1) Canadian by birth, Chinese by genetics. Female. Possibly bisexual. Left-leaning compared to RL friends, but somewhat moderate within fandom. Born-again Christian. My belief in salvation through Jesus does not render me incapable of rational thought or action, honest. My non-profit of choice is World Vision.

2) I'm an ATPoer. Still an Existential Scooby. My online life and fannish existence began at ATPoBtVS.com.

3) Fanfic is my crack and I'll read all kinds: drama, humour, angst, fluff, AU, crossover. I love slash best, but I also read gen and het.

4) If you see a WIP in this journal, please don't hold out hope that I'll ever actually finish it. Stories I've completed are in my memories here, should you be interested.

5) I've created

seabornforprez, a The West Wing community with the premise that Sam Seaborn could be, is, or will be an elected official and the future president of the United States. (See userinfo page for details.) Unfortunately I've neglected this comm shamelessly and it's pretty much dead.

Yet Another Fandom. My updated list of favourite fandoms, characters, and pairings:

Angel: I love Angel, Wesley, Gunn, Illyria, Darla, Lilah, and Faith. Also enjoy Lorne, early Cordelia, Fred when Wes isn't angsting over her, Kate Lockley, Anne Steele, and Justine Cooper. Prefer Connor with someone his age (eg Dawn/Connor).
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Prefer gen or canon pairings. No Spuffy. Special love for Tara, Dawn, Giles, and Faith/Robin. For crossovers, Dawn/Mini!Jack (Stargate SG-1) or Dawn/Connor (Angel). Favourite post-"Chosen" fic is "Bridges" by Tassos, a Buffy/Stargate SG-1 crossover. Gen, Xander Harris, his long-lost father Jack O'Neill, the SGC, the NID, and a house full of Slayers.
Dark Angel: ~~Gen or Max/Logan.~~ I've converted to Max/Alec with a side of Joshua and Original Cindy.
DC Universe: Gen, slash, het. For Timm!toons: John/Wally, John/Shayera, Bruce/Selina, Bruce/Wally, Bruce/Clark(/Lex), Ollie/Dinah, and Ollie/Kara. For Smallville: Clark/Lex. For comics: Tim/Kon, other teen heroes. The Bats, the Supers, the Arrows. I'm open to most pairings.
The Dead Zone: First TDZ story I ever read was Cesperanza's "The Big Picture", so I imprinted on Johnny/Walt.
Firefly: I don't read much in this fandom. River/Jayne for the oh so wrong. Mal/Inara for the angst and pretty. Gen.
Gilmore Girls: I started watching for Jared Padalecki, but I'm charmed by almost every character. Favourites are Lorelai, Rory, Dean. Most fic in this fandom isn't to my taste, but I've found a few good Rory/Dean and Lorelai/Dean stories.
Harry Potter: Loved Deathly Hallows, love the films. Favourites are Harry, Hermione, Snape, Remus. Pairings are Remus/Sirius, Snape/Lupin, and Harry/Snape. I prefer plotty gen or slash, but het is okay.
Heroes: Don't watch the show, but I love Matt/Mohinder + Molly. Domestic M3 fic FTW!
Highlander: Slash, gen, het. Duncan/Methos is my favourite but I enjoy Methos with Cassandra, Rebecca Horne, and Amy Thomas. Connor, Joe, and Richie should never be slashed. 2007-10-08: I'm writing a Highlander/House S3 AU crossover, MacLeod/Wilson pairing, House/Wilson UST.
House, MD: House/Wilson, slash or gen. I like Cuddy too. 2007-10-08: See under Highlander.
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes: Sam/Gene and gen. Maybe Sam/Maya. New fandom so I'm still seeing what's what.
NCIS: Gibbs/DiNozzo and gen. Tony/Ziva if done well. Kikkimax's NCIS/Stargate SG-1 crossover, "Stardust", was my first in this fandom and it's wonderful.
RPS (the WB/CW "universe"): Jared/Jensen! And others. But mostly Jared/Jensen.
The Sentinel: Jim + Blair = OTP, gen or slash.
Sports Night: Gen, Dan/Casey, anything with Jeremy. No spoilers for Season 2.
Stargate Atlantis: Sheppard, McKay, Teyla, and Ronon in pairs, threesomes, or foursomes. Teyla/Bates. I don't mind Weir with Ronon (because he's hot). Multi-shipping! Crack = Harlequin challenge, tentacle porn, Pegasus B and other AUs, SG-1 guest stars, Ancient TiVos, Ancient artificial wombs.
Stargate SG-1: Jack/Daniel. Gen. I also enjoy Daniel/Vala, Jack/Sara, and Daniel/Sha'uri. I won't read Jack/Sam. Crossovers always welcome.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Kira, Bashir, Sisko, Garak, O'Brien. Yes to Bashir-slash, no to Bashir/Dax (Jadzia or Ezri). Sneaking fondness for Season 7 Damar.
Supernatural: SPECIAL. HELL. Gen, het, slash, Wincest, RPS. Casefile, smut, crack, everything. Love love love.
Tamora Pierce: Gen and het. I like all canon pairings except Daine/Numair (I prefer Daine/Rikash). My OTPs are Kel-Wyldon (platonic) and Sandry/Briar.
Veronica Mars: Favourites are Veronica, Logan, Weevil, and Keith. Much love for plotty genfic.
The West Wing: Special love for Will, Sam, Toby, CJ, and Josh. Much love for Jed, Leo, Charlie. Andy Wyatt and the twins. Amy Gardner, Ainsley Hayes, Kate Harper. The Bartlet women. I love Josh/Sam, Toby/Sam, Sam/Will. I like Toby/Andy, CJ/Danny, Josh/Amy, Sam/Ainsley, Sam/Elsie, Will/Kate. I dislike Josh/Donna, Jed/Leo. I believe Sam Seaborn should be president.
Crossovers: I love crossovers. I can forgive a multitude of fanfic sins for the sake of a crossover. I'll even read crossovers in which I don't know any of the fandoms! Case in point: Kikkimax's "Luck of the Draw", a Law & Order: SVU/OZ crossover.
